نهلة فاروق مطر: العالم فى ذوبان مع الموسيقى

مؤلفة موسيقية مصرية عزفت مؤلفاتها فى جمهورية مصر العربية، سويسرا، المانيا، تركيا، والولايات المتحدة الإمريكية. درست التأليف الموسيقى فى جامعة ولاية أريزونا بأمريكا، وحصلت على درجة الدكتوراه فى الفنون الموسيقية تخصص تأليف. تهتم كمؤلفة وباحثة موسيقية بالبعد السيكولوجى والاجتماعى للموسيقى والذى أتضح فى العمل الدرامى المتعدد الوسائط "علامــات"، حيث تناول بجرأة وخيال واقع المرأة المصرية المولودة فى سبعينات القرن العشرين، مسرح الليسيوم، فينكس .اسست مجموعة انترميديا ايحيبت لتقوم بعزف الأعمال الموسيقية التجريبية ذات الطابع التكنولوجى، وتم إقامة أول حفل ضم أعمال مؤلفيين من الجيل الجديد بمسرح هاورد فى الجامعة الأمريكية بالقاهرة بالتعاون مع جمعية الشباب الموسيقى المصرى، ثم تم تكرار الحفل ضمن إطار مشروع "رامى" بمكتبة الأسكندرية فى نوفمبر 2007.

About Me

Nahla Mattar
Mattar is composer and researcher currently serves as an associate professor at Helwan University, Cairo, Egypt. Mattar got her doctorate of musical arts DMA, in composition from Arizona State University (ASU) in spring 2005. Mattar won the second prize in the "Internationaler Komponistinnenwettbewerb / Komponistinnenfestival Herbst 2008, Germany, for her cello, bass clarinet, and piano piece "Three". Mattar enjoyed three months residency in Winterthur, Zurich, Switzerland in 2008, ended with producing a concert with Andreas Ramseier of mainly her works, as well as introducing the works of other young Egyptian composers. Mattar has a great interest in the electro-acoustic/digital interactive medium. Mattar's graduation work: "Scars" was premiered in Phoenix, Az. in April 2005, a major collaboration with videographer Joan Karlen of University of Wisconsin at Steven points, and visual artist Arina Melkozernova with the director Ilana lydia. Scars is going to be performed again in Berlin by ensemble courage, Oliver Schneller (director).

EL-áin (2006 ) العين
Short piece for Orchestra. Expecting world premier: Feb. 4, Cairo Symphony, The fourth Arab Composers Festival.

Scars (2005) علامات
Interactive multi-media installation for piano, percussion, acting, video, animation, and electronic sound environment. Collaboration with Joan Karlen, Arina Melkozernova, and Ilana Lydia. Pending premiere is in spring 2005, Lyceum Theater. Phoenix. AZ.

Eyes of the I’s (Dispersion) (2004) عيون لعيونى
For dance, video, Animation, Music, and interactive visual and sonic environment.
Collaboration with Visual Artist Arina Melkozernova, and Choreographer Casey Blake.
Dispersion I: (music and video) premiered in Katzin Hall, Phoenix, AZ, fall 2004 with Flutist Monique Brower.
World premiere of the entire four movements: Cocoon, Revocation, Dispersion, and Eyes of the I’s” was on January 2005, Phoenix, AZ.
